What we count

Online Store Buddy keeps its own simple count of visits so we can see which pages people actually read and which ones need work. When you open a page, the site records:

Visits from search engine robots are counted separately, so they don't get mixed in with people.

What we don't collect

We don't use cookies. We don't store your IP address, your browser's full identifying details, or any kind of ID. Nothing we store can link two visits to the same person, so we can't follow you from page to page or from one visit to the next.

Where it's kept

The counts are kept in our own storage at our web host, Vercel. We don't sell or share them, and the site has no advertising trackers. Like any website, Vercel handles your IP address in order to deliver the page to you, but our counter never saves it.

Our pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google for the font files.

Questions you send

Most guides have a box at the bottom where you can ask a question. When you send one, the site saves the question, the first name you typed if you added one, which guide you asked it on, and the date. It doesn't save your email, your IP address or any cookie. Your question isn't shown on the site unless I answer it. If I do, I add the question, your first name if you gave one, and my answer to that guide's page. If you'd like a question you sent removed, use the contact details on the About page.
